The Begade Developer program brings recurring storage based revenue to you. You can integrate access to the Begade Cloud directly into your existing app or you can use the complete source codes to the Begade app as the basis for a brand new app.

The documentation is readable as an HTML document immediately and once you have signed up as a developer the document will directly interact with our development servers. The mission of Begade is to maintain a cloud for central storage of music stems which can be organized into multi-user projects under permission control of the project owner. A project is a collection of audio stems that can be mixed into an MP3 or stream and optionally be made available as a ZIP file with all stems. The business model is a simple revenue share where the developer owns the customer. Developers can enable their users to share projects with users of other apps or can have us maintain a closed cloud system – it is completely a developer choice.
Our SDK consists of the API document and the complete source codes to our commercially shipping Begade app in the Apple AppStore. Our SDK is generic and we would like to hear from web and Android developers. The sources distributed with the SDK are for our iOS app specific App with our current focus to improve that source base. Our API uses industry standard protocols and definitions such as HTTP and JSON. In Begade, music stems can be contributed in formats such as WAV, CAF or AIFF with their associated meta data. The example included, in source form, with our SDK, is a standalone collaboration app and is a commercially shipping app in the Apple AppStore. Our cloud has many intrinsic capabilities including the ability to mix the stems into an MP3, organize the stems into a project and associate usage permissions that are controlled by a project owner. A project can be, for a example, a song under development, band tryout sessions, Karaoke, audio annotation or a global singing of a birthday song – the possibilities are endless.
Our Begade Cloud is in partnership with Rackspace (NYSE:RAQ) with the stems stored using their CloudFiles technology and the mixing and database servers running on Begade owned/Rackspace managed dedicated servers. We can also spin up dedicated virtual servers for developers that need a sandboxed environment for development and testing.
